Join us in this fun filled ADDA session, where you can exchange your views with our honored guest Raja Abhimanny and get inspired by his wisdom.
Raja Abhimannyu is a Kolkata based photographer and a Photography Teacher. Have begun his photography in 1982 with grandfather's TLR Camera and Photography Booklets as guide, he attended a Photography Course from Ramkrishna Mission only after his Bachelorship in Science in 1988. Then he completed the Diploma in Printing & Graphic Arts with Photography as Special Paper from RIPT, Jadavpur in 1993.
Though he has interest and training in diverse fields like Rock Climbing & Mountaineering, Amateur Astronomy, Ornithology, Visual Arts etc. Raja Abhimannyu principally remains occupied with Photography. In the recent past Raja has concentrated in preparing stories on Travel Photography, particularly on Mountains. His work has been showcased through Four Subjective Solo Exhibitions on Four Different Travel Stories. His first photography book was published in 2014 that narrates a Mountain Adventure Programme by the Blind.
As the Course Convener of Academy of Creative Art, a non-profit organization established by his Artist father 25 years ago, Raja Abhimannyu has been teaching Photography since 2007. Besides Photography he has been running Ritu & Company, a small shop manufacturing Mountain and Travel Gears for 22 years.
This event offers a kaleidoscopic view of his work and an opportunity for us to see the world through his view finder.
